- Are they a locally owned company or national franchise? If a company is locally owned it will have better trained employees with much more experience. They are going to be better trained and more of the level of a skilled technician. The national franchise will have more service-type-oriented people that are seasonally trained.
- How long have they been in business? This can be a good factor in the quality of their work. It usually proves a testament to their services.
- Do they use employees or subcontractors? This is a tricky situation because some companies can use very quality companies as part of their sub-contractors list. They can be a better quality than someone that just started at a company. I would just recommend doing your research and ask questions and you should be fine.
- Ask to see examples of previous work. This is a good source of how to vet a company. Most reputable companies will have testimonials and past examples that they can easily show you. Most businesses will have a portfolio of work that they can show their clients easily.
- Look for online reviews. The best ones to check are Google My Business, Yelp, Home Advisers, and other sites are a good way to resource companies.
