  1. Are they a locally owned company or national franchise? If a company is locally owned it will have better trained employees with much more experience. They are going to be better trained and more of the level of skilled technician. The national franchise will have more service type oriented people that are seasonally trained.
  2. How long have they been in business? This can be a good factor of their quality of their work. It usually proves as a testament of their services.
  3. Do they use employees or sub contactors? This is a tricky situation because some companies can use very quality companies as part of their sub-contractors list. They can be a better quality then someone that just started at a company. I would just recommend doing your research and ask questions and you should be fine.
  4. Ask to see examples of previous work. This is a good source of how to vet a company. Most reputable companies will have testimonials and past examples that they can easily show you. Most businesses will have a portfolio of work that they can show their clients easily.
  5. Look for online reviews. The best ones to check are Google My Business, Yelp, Home Advisers, and other sites are a good way to resource companies.
